Imagine playing Chess and Connect 4 at the same time ! This is what this game is about.
It is like chess...
- Pieces movements
- Pawns move forward and eat in diagonal
- Pawns can move two rows in start position
- Stalemate
But less than chess...
- No King ! No check ! No checkmate !
- No pawn promote... yet...
But more than chess !
- Gravity
- Ally pieces swap
- Last man standing !
How to play ?
Click ! Click, click, click !
Eat all enemy pieces to WIN !
Stalemate rule
If one team cannot move anymore, it will be a stalemate, just like when enemy get stuck in chess but is not in check. So keep an eye on enemy pawns especially towards the end, since they have a low movement liberty.
Triple Trijam
The first version of this game was made in 3x3 hours for the Triple Trijam 2020, with a first build after 3 hours a second build after 6 hours and a final build after 9h.
The main theme followed for this game was Novel Twist on Classic Game with a small Chain Reaction.

Thanks a lot for the interest ! I'm not sure right now, I already have a polished version of that project, but it's also entirely broken, and I'm afraid to look at my code from last year, it will be painful, and I just partially finished a jam today, so I'm a bit worn out..
On the other hand, it looks like the perfect occasion to dive back into it, I just noticed that even the 2 players is broken... I'll definitely consider ! Thanks a lot for reaching out to me !

Mmmh i'd say, just click on blue pieces and you will see the authorized move and try to eat all enemies. It is only inspired by chess for pieces movements, so no need to learn real chess to play it (although I would recommend to learn basics of chess, it is a wonderful game !)
I loved the game, congratulations, when I saw it would be chess, I already liked it, and mixed it with gravity, super creative
